My Story

In the early 1970's, when my husband and I moved to Paris to expand his clothing company ”EDWARD'S”, we found an unexpected souvenir at an antique store.
It was one of the party bags from the Art Deco era. They were so hard to find that they were called "phantom Metallic Bead Bags".
From that moment on, the mysterious sparkles and beauty of Metallic Beads stole my heart completely, and my days of going around antique stores for them had begun.

Moving back to Japan in 1975, I found myself wanting to recreate the Metallic Beads and introduce them to the world, and so, with my husband's enormous support, I stepped into the unknown world of recreating Metallic Beads.

Starting from scratch, it took me six long years to make something with which I could be satisfied. Even now I cannot put into words the excitement and fulfillment I felt!
I would love to let this great artwork, Metallic Beads, shine with you:
That is my hope.
